No Rest for the Wicked! We’re Back with a Triple Bill

It’s a truth locally acknowledged that the Westwell Players do not like to sit still for long. Having spent some time with our families over Christmas and recovering from a busy season of panto, we are back and raring to go with our Spring show. For this, we are going back a few years in our repertoire to 2022 when we put on a trio of plays in the Spring, aptly named ‘Trilogy’. Over the course of a night, we put on three short shows, all with distinct plotlines and characters.

It was a performance we all enjoyed and we have decided to use a similar format for 2026, with three short plays being performed over the course of a night. The beauty of this is that we can have multiple directors and a more diverse range of roles for our Players.

Our focus for 2026 is to build on and utilise the skills of our existing members to create fun workshops that increase our knowledge and expertise of theatre overall. These workshops might include technical, costume, set design, vocal work, directing and backstage management to name a few. We are very lucky at Westwell Players to have so many wonderful members, all with a heap of experience in different aspects of theatre and we want to ensure that those skills are shared so we can continue to put on fantastic shows for you all and build on the success we have had in recent years.

In addition, we are back to the drawing board for ideas to fill our social calendar for 2026. Being part of the Westwell Players is as much about what we do together off the stage as well as on it. After all, as we saw from our most recent pantomime, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our supporters past, present and future, a happy new year. We hope to see you at one of our shows in 2026.
