A Heartfelt Thank You

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to direct a play of my own creation. The encouragement from the cast and audience has been overwhelming. Sitting in the director’s seat allowed me to witness the hard work and goodwill that goes into running our shows.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the Westwell Players committee for all they did to promote the show. Organizing logistics, ensuring technical aspects were covered, and managing each night’s details is no small task.

A Special Acknowledgment

This show also marked a special occasion. For the first time in a long while, we provided food. This could not have been accomplished without our brilliant members John and Trudy Caplen. Their contributions made our audience experience even better.

A huge thanks also goes to Doris Cackett and her team for the hard work they do for our front of house. Additionally, I’d like to recognize all the volunteers who man our bar each night, including Bob Lander and Rob Perring. It really is a team effort. Our audience becomes part of our family for the night, ensuring we can continue putting on our shows.

Looking Ahead

The cast will now enjoy a well-earned break, but we won't be away for long! Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 3rd of June will determine who directs our next show. I, for one, am looking forward to swapping the director’s seat for the stage once again.

We will also be planning our infamous Player’s Picnic, set to take place later in the summer. Keep an eye out here and on our social media for more details.
