Tickets for After the Beanstalk, this year’s hilarious panto performed by the Westwell Players, are now on sale!
The past few weeks have been full of laughs, lines and a little bit of chaos, but After the Beanstalk is on its feet, taking shape and we can already feel the magic building.
Our director Kay Davis warned us during our last rehearsal that we only have 2 more rehearsals until our scripts need to be away and lines learnt! That is when the fun really begins, when we can start adding action and bringing our characters to life. It's also the time where we turn our attention to set design and costumes and this year promises to be an ambitious one, as we grapple with beanstalks and giant golden eggs (how exactly does one chop down a giant beanstalk on stage?)
Our social calendars are filling up nicely for the rest of the year with some great nights out planned, including a Halloween murder mystery at the end of this month. It is a busy time of year for Players, but we love to get out and do things together and the committee work hard to make sure there are lots of opportunities for people to take part in social events outside of the rehearsal room.
Finally, a reminder that tickets for our pantomimes usually sell out extremely quickly. If you would like to buy tickets, book them sooner rather than later!
