After enjoying glorious summer days, September brings the arrival of autumn. This signals our cue to gather at Westwell Parish Hall. Rehearsals are set to begin for our November pantomime, ‘After the Beanstalk’.
We recently held two successful read-throughs, led by Kay Davis, who is making her directorial debut with the Westwell Players. We are thrilled to start creating a fun and exciting show for everyone. Expect plenty of comedic moments!
Welcoming New Talent
We are delighted to welcome new faces to the Westwell Players: Rachael Cook, Ryan Young, and Ewan Knight. Their addition enriches our group with a broad and vibrant range of talent. However, this diversity also makes casting a challenging task!
Community Events: A Great Success
At the end of last month, we participated in two fantastic events: The Westwell Village Fete and The Players Picnic.
Meeting so many new faces at the fete was a joy, along with a few familiar ones! Two of our Players had the important job of portraying the Westwell Village Fete cow. Their performance was a highlight of the event.
The Players Picnic is always a wonderful social opportunity. It allows our families to engage in the fun after we’ve been busy with rehearsals and shows for weeks. A huge thank you to everyone involved in arranging both events. A special shoutout goes to Mary-Anne Pitt for creating a fantastic treasure hunt for everyone to enjoy at the picnic.
Ticket Information
Tickets for ‘After the Beanstalk’ will go on sale on October 1st. The performances are scheduled for the 27th, 28th, and 29th of November. Keep an eye on our social media for updates. Panto tickets always sell out quickly, so don’t miss your chance to grab them when they become available.
